ABOUT THE ARTIST

Amy Florence is a London born artist working out of her studio in Florence, Italy. Amy trained at the Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence where she went on to teach the advanced painting and drawing programs for 5 years. She set up Studio Donatello in November 2014, her private studio that offers short courses and private tuition.

The natural world influences Amy's life and work, she is an ornithologist and although trained initially as a portrait painter, spends much of her time painting the Landscape, and nature inspired Still-life in the studio. She does continue to accept a number of portrait commissions per year and has twice exhibited with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters at the Mall Galleries in London.

She divides her time between her studio in Florence, her home in the Tuscan hillside, and her family home in London, England.

Amy is represented by the Grenning Gallery in Sag Harbor New York.
